When you are using Residential Proxies, sometimes you find even if you configure the proxies on your device and fill in the correct username and password, you still cannot get access to the internet. Why is that?

There are 3 circumstances that frequently happen.

  • You specified a country that which there are not enough IPs from that country in our pool. Please try to specify another country.

  • You specify a city level, there's not enough IP from that city in our pool. If you run your curl code in your terminal it will return the error code 476, which means not enough IP is available. In that case, we recommend specifying the country or state level because the IPs in our rotating proxies pool are changing and the IPs are not always online at a city level.

  • You set a sticky time as 60 minutes and specify a country or region, but there are not enough IPs online from that country or region, causing the connection problem. So you can try to specify a shorter sticky time, or change the region.
